JUBA – Central Equatoria Governor Rabi Mujung Emmanuel on Thursday suspended the state security advisor, Angelo Daya Lodu, and two other senior officials over alleged involvement in the improper handling of government assets.
Governor Mujung lifted the immunity and suspended Hon. Angelo Daya Lodu, Advisor on Peace and Security to the Governor with immediate effect on Thursday, 6th November 2025, pending an investigation into alleged misconduct linked to government property.
The Governor also suspended Mr. Taban Clement Oliver, Deputy Secretary General of the Revitalized Transitional Government of Central Equatoria State, over similar allegations with immediate effect on Thursday 6th November 2025.
Another order also suspended Mr. Ugo Aurelius Chichim, Technical Advisor for Communication and Public Affairs in the State Ministry of Information and Communication with immediate effect on Thursday 6 November 2025.
The suspensions follow reports of alleged involvement in the sale of Government Plot No.7 in Hai Malakal residential area of Juba City.
In a related development, Governor Mujung issued an additional order establishing a State Investigation Committee mandated to probe the alleged illegal disposal of the plot.
The committee will interrogate implicated officials, verify ownership documents, establish procedural violations, and identify authorizations behind the transactions. The committee is required to submit its findings within seven working days, effective Monday, 10 November 2025.
