VP Bol Mel seen with newly appointed wife Sarah in her office assumption

JUBA – Vice President Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel acompanied his wife, Advocate Sarah Peter Nyot, who was recently appointed as Counsel General in the Ministry of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, to her office on Monday.

A statement from Bol’s office said Sarah – which it described as an accomplished lawyer with vast international experience – pledged to serve with diligence and integrity.

“She outlined her commitment to strengthening the rule of law, upholding constitutional order and ensuring access to justice for all citizens,” the statement noted.

The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs Dr. Joseph Geng Aketch, welcoming the bew appointee, underscored that the Ministry will rely on her expertise to fulfil its critical mandate of promoting accountability, justice, reconciliation, and national unity.

Meanwhile, Vice President Bol urged the Ministry to enforce strict adherence to the legal framework in all government financial transactions – ensuring transparency, preventing liabilities, and protecting the nation’s resources.
