JUBA – El Merriekh SC Bentiu were crowned champions of South Sudan Super Cup on Thursday after beating Jamus SC Juba in a dramatic penalty shootout following a goalless, at Juba National Stadium.
The match between two of South Sudan football giants was an intense battle from start to finish, with both sides showing strong defensive organization and determination.
Despite several attempts from both teams, neither could break the deadlock during regular time, leading to a tense penalty shootout.
In the shootout, El Merriekh SC Bentiu held their nerve, converting 4 penalties to Jamus FC Juba’s 3. The decisive moment came when our goalkeeper made a crucial save, followed by a calm and confident finish from our final taker to seal the win.
