JUBA – Vice President Dr. Benjamin Bol Mel departed Juba on Tuesday for an official visit to the United Arab Emirates capital, to deliver President Kiir’s message to UAE ruler His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, through his vice president.
He was accompanied by senior government officials from relevant institutions.
Bol, the Chairperson of the Economic Cluster will also engage senior UAE leaders to strengthen economic and diplomatic relations, open new channels of cooperation, and advance opportunities that can transform livelihoods in South Sudan, a statement from his office said.
Speaking to SSBC, the vice president noted President Kiir’s “commitment to building strong alliances with countries that share our determination for peace, prosperity, and sustainable development.”
“These partnerships are laying the foundations for greater investment, job creation, and growth – ensuring that the promise of a better South Sudan becomes a reality for every citizen.”
