JUBA – The trial of eight SPLM/A-IO officials including Dr. Riek Machar was adjourned to Wednesday, October 8, after the prosecution team presented a series of documents and exhibits before a special three-judge panel.
The evidence, submitted by the lead investigator, included an autopsy report and death certificate for the late Major General David Majur Dak, who was killed during clashes in Nasir in March, as well as death certificates for 256 SSPDF soldiers who died in the same fighting.
Other materials presented included an administrative report issued by the SSPDF containing videos, audio recordings, and alleged funding records linked to the accused SPLM-IO members, with 14 attachments, alongside an expert report and digital forensic analysis with 15 attachments.
The judges endorsed all the prosecution documents except for the expert report and digital forensic analysis, pending the expert’s appearance to testify before the court.
The hearing was adjourned until Wednesday, 8 October, at 9:30 a.m.
Meanwhile, the court has granted leave to the 3rd accused person, former lawmaker Gatwech Lam Puoch, for medical and family reason.
