JUBA – The South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority (SSCAA) said ongoing renovation works at the Juba International Airport Arrivals Terminal, aimed at enhancing passenger experience and overall operational efficiency, are progressing well.
SSCAA said the facelift focuses on both the interior and exterior of the terminal, and will initiate key infrastructure upgrades that will improve comfort, accessibility, and aesthetics for all arriving travelers.
The renovation includes the installation of new floor tiles, cabro paving in the exterior walkways, modern lighting systems, upgraded washroom facilities, and a more streamlined baggage claim area.
The aviation agency said the renovation is aimed to meet international standards, ensuring that passengers are welcomed into a safe and modern environment upon arrival.
“Once completed, the terminal will offer a more efficient flow of movement and an improved first impression for visitors entering South Sudan,” the statement noted.
“This project, undertaken through the support and oversight of the South Sudan Civil Aviation Authority, reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to infrastructure development and improved service delivery in the aviation sector.”
SSCAA said it remains dedicated to completing the renovations soon, despite minimal disruption to current operations.
