WASHINGTON- A South Sudanese-American Tut Riek Jikany has petitioned the Trump administration to consider the revocation of citizenship for South Sudanese Americans allegedly involved in hate speech and human rights violations, including controversial podcaster Bol Brown.

The petition which has so far garnered 467 signatures in two days – also seeks the revocation of US citizenships of South Sudan government officials; Biel Jock Thiech, Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, and David Ruei Gatkuoth, in what Jikany says is aimed to uphold the values of justice and accountability.

Bol Brown, who presents the slanderous online-based Naath International Radio Radio America, previously used his platform to insult prominent government officials in the height of the South Sudan civil war.

He has now switched camps and has been sharply criticizing SPLM-IO and its detained leader Dr. Riek Machar, accusing him of nepotism and poor leadership. Brown known for his explicit description of various topics, also promotes messages that incite hatred and violence.

“Through his broadcasts, he spreads divisive rhetoric that can fuel animosity among different communities, potentially leading to harmful consequences,” the petition said.

“His platform has become a source of concern for those who advocate for peaceful dialogue and mutual respect among diverse groups.”

The petition underscored that the South Sudan conflict has cast a harsh light on the “exploitation of the South Sudanese population, where certain individuals have profited immensely from the widespread suffering of their fellow citizens.”

The petition pointed to the major instigators of violent clash that erupted in March 2025 in southern Upper Nile State, including the aerial bombardment of civilians are key figures including Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, Biel Jock Thiech, and David Ruey Gatkuoth—who are all U.S. citizens.

The accused individuals are yet to respond to the petition.

“These individuals have been linked to the targeting of civilians in Nasir and Longechuk counties, engaging in the dissemination of misinformation and the distribution of contaminated food to further their agenda of violence,” it noted.

In response to the atrocities, the petition said the South Sudanese community in the United States has “taken a stand, calling for the revocation of passports held by Ezekiel Lol Gatkuoth, Biel Jock Thiech, and David Ruey Gatkuoth.”

“It demands accountability for these individuals’ alleged involvement in the aerial bombardment of civilian populations in Nasir, Ulang, Longechuk, and Fangak, which notably included the bombing of a civilian hospital operated by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Old Fangak.”

Meanwhile, Bol Brown took to social media to respond to the petition, saying it is a biased scheme to target pro-government figures. He called on the petitioners to also include opposition aligned warmongers.
