Lady Kola says not to blame for Cherry Long’s weight loss

JUBA—Musician Lady Kola left fans puzzled with a cryptic post, asking them to cease tagging her on “nonsense” before taking throwing shades at lover Cherry Long.

Kola and Long, who is married with children, had flaunted their romance on social media for one year, with a wedding scheduled for May 2025, but it never happened.

“Guys, stop tagging me in any nonsense; I’m really tired of being quiet. Cherry is the only enemy of himself,” Kola captioned a photo of herself on Thursday.

It is not immediately clear why she said Long is his own enemy. But Long had appeared malnourished lately, leaving fans concerned, with some insinuating that Kola has something to do with it.

In response, Long posted an hour later, telling concerned fans to stop talking about his body mass.

“My life, my rules, but yeah, finally someone has awoken the lion in me. To the people talking negatively about me, be informed that I will always gain weight and lose weight anytime as well.”

“If you are not ok with it, leave my life and my business alone. You can also take Lady Kola with you.”

Some fans are questioning if the much-hyped romance has already gone south, while others believe it was all along a publicity stunt.

Earlier, she informed her fans that she would soon address what she called “this issue of people insulting me because of my husband.”

Social media users immediately took to her comment section to poke fun at the situation.

“Yeah, he’s an enemy of himself because he chose you over wife material,” said Ajak Agoth.

“Just take it easy, lady. Kola, none can judge another, and he’s trying to be better. Only God can judge us. It’s your life; you can do whatever you want,” said Rejoice David.

“As a wife, it is your responsibility to take care of your husband by keeping him healthy and clean so that his fellow men will appreciate that he really has a good, caring woman,” said another.
